First Hurricane Practice!!
Tonight's first practice was FANTASTIC! Parents, you have some of the most polite, respectful athletes. Every swimmer was trying his/her best to be a leader and/or follow directions. The first day can be tough. Please bring your kids back through the week (even if there were a few tears).
As a reminder, please make sure that you are bringing your swimmer to his/her scheduled, age-group practice this week. Before we move any swimmers around, coaches need to get an idea of numbers and abilities in each practice level. There will be some movement, but I am just getting to know your athlete and need a little time to make those schedule changes.
Please get your swimmer some goggles; and, if necessary tie their hair back or cap it for practice. This will keep their hair from being in the way of their breathing.
For the "Littles," if they take a bath, have them practice blowing bubbles with their noses, in the tub. Make it a game to see how long they can blow bubbles out before they need a breath.
If tonight is any indication of how awesome your kids are, I am definitely ALL in for the Heatherwood Hurricanes! Great practice, awesome athletes!
See you at the pool.
