Hello, Heatherwood families! 

It’s time for Invitational Meets. Please read this email, and if you have any questions feel free to call or text me! My name is Celisa Henderson, and my phone number is 713-542-7117. 

Our mid-season invitational is going to be Summer Thunder. It will be held indoors at Klein Collins Natatorium. Set up will be inside, in the air conditioning! 

Swimmers have to make certain qualifying times to be able to be allowed to swim in these meets. You can see if your swimmer has qualified for any events by going to the meet and declaring them, just like you would for a regular dual meet. The events they are eligible for will appear there. 

General Information
*Invitationals are optional swim meets that swimmers can attend, if they would like to.
*After you see which events your swimmer is qualified for, you can decide which event they want to swim.
*You will pay an entry fee per event for the events you choose. They can swim one or all they are qualified for. For Summer Thunder, it is $9 an event.
*Once you declare for the events you will swim, you are responsible for payment even if your swimmer does not end up swimming for some reason. Heatherwood will be in touch with you on how to pay for your entry fees. 

6/1 - 6/2 - Summer Thunder @ Klein Collins HS - DEADLINE TO DECLARE ON OUR WEBSITE IS SATURDAY MAY 24 BY 10PM. 

*10 & unders will swim all their events on Sunday starting at 8am for warm ups. 11 & up will swim the 100 free and 100 IM also on Sunday. All other events for 11 & up will be on Monday afternoon starting at 3:45pm for warm ups. Meet starts at 5:15pm. 

BONUS Events - Swimmers that qualify for at least 3 events will be allowed to swim all additional events provided they have a legal time swum at a time trial or a sanctioned NWAL meet. 

**EXCEPTION – 11-12 100 Free, 10 & under 50 Free and 100 IM for all ages: The 11-12 100 Free and the 10 under 50 free and 100 IM for all ages cannot be added as a bonus. Swimmers MUST achieve the time standard in that event in order to enter.
